Le Galion
Founded in 1930, Le Galion belongs to the great lineage of French haute parfumerie. Under perfumer Paul Vacher, who took the helm in 1935, the house established a signature style rooted in classical construction and refined materials.
Its aesthetic moves between neo-classical structure and vintage elegance. Floral aldehydic bouquets, polished chypres, elegant fougères, and luminous soliflores form the backbone of the collection. The compositions are layered and architectural, with little emphasis on sweetness or ambery accords, favouring an aristocratic sense of chic.
Sortilège, created in 1936, became the emblem of the house. A richly faceted floral built on a complex natural palette, it later became the signature scent of New York’s Stork Club, associated with figures such as Marilyn Monroe and Ava Gardner. After a period of disappearance, Le Galion was revived with the intention of preserving this heritage. Today, the brand continues to celebrate classical French perfumery, nostalgia, and the enduring allure of timeless chic.
